It’s Election Day in Ontario – here’s what to know

It is election day in Ontario and millions will be casting ballots at polling stations in ridings across the province over the course of the day.

Residents in Hastings-Lennox and Addington have seven options to choose from in the provincial election.

There are six candidates running in H-L&A including;  Conservative Ric Bresee, Liberal Ted Darby, NDP Eric DePoe, New Blue Party Joyce Reid, Ontario Party Derek Sloan and Green Christina Wilson.

If you have your voter’s card, you have all the information you need at your fingertips. Your election day voting location details can be found at the top left corner of the front of the card. It tells you your polling location, times its open, and which riding you are voting in.

Once there, click on the “Plan ahead” button on the top right of the page. There’s an image of a person painting a giant x on a wall. From there, you’ll enter your postal code and get all the information you need to vote. You can also call 1-833-405-2629 to get help.

Polls are open from 9:00am to 9:00pm today.
