A rainfall warning and a severe thunderstorm watch have been issued for the Greater Napanee Area.
The rainfall warning is calling for rain at times heavy continuing through this afternoon. It is estimated we may get 50 to 75 mm of rain. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Officials are also saying conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms. These storms may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
