Hydro One says the damage from this past weekend’s storm in southern Ontario is unlike anything they’ve ever seen. Currently a stare of emergency is in place in Addington Highlands. There remains area’s north of Greater Napanee without power.
Hydro One Senior Media Relations Advisor Tiziana Baccega Rosa says damage is still being added up.
She adds that the damage varies in parts of the province.
Hydro crews from across Ontario, Canada and the US have come to help with recovery efforts, as there’s nearly 500 more crew members assisting.
Across Ontario there’s still an estimated 150,000 Hydro One customers without power, while Ottawa Hydro is reporting another 70,000 customers experiencing outages.
