A local singer has been nominated for an award at the upcoming County Music Association of Ontario (CMAO) Awards.
myFM spoke with Napanee resident Emily Clair, who originally grew up in the Ajax area as part of a very musical family. She says she started singing as soon as she could talk.
Clair is nominated for Roots Artist of the Year at the 2022 CMAOntario Awards. The awards show will be taking place June 5 in London, Ontario.
She says this nomination is very humbling and that it’s nice to be recognized for her work in the industry.
Clair recently released a new single, “Kiss Strangers”, which she says is a little sassier compared to her more heartfelt songs.
