Two people have been charged after drugs were seized during a traffic stop in Loyalist Township.
on the evening of April 30th, OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401, and found approximately 130 grams of suspected marijuana, 180 grams of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as 112 suspected xanax and oxycodone pills during the investigation.
A 20 and 21 year old, both from Toronto, are facing multiple charges including Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and Possession of over 30g dried cannabis, or equivalent, in a public place.
The 20 year old was further charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Fail to properly wear seatbelt
Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee in June
