Since Public Health’s last COVID-19 report on Wednesday, April 13, the KFL&A region has seen four new deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 47 in the region.
Today’s update shows there are now 11 local cases in hospital, with two in the ICU and one on a ventilator.
Public Health also reported 699 new high risk cases of COVID-19 since their last report. Public Health is currently monitoring 603 active high risk cases.
As of this afternoon, 92.9% of individuals 5 and over in KFL&A have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 89.3% have received their second. 69% of those 18 and over have received a three doses.
