Since Public Health’s last COVID-19 report on Friday, April 8, the KFL&A region has seen four new deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 43 in the region.
Today’s update shows there are now 10 local cases in hospital, with two in the ICU and one on a ventilator.
Public Health also reported 301 new high risk cases of COVID-19 since their last report, bringing the number of high risk cases to 671.
KFL&A Public Health have also changed the way they are reporting outbreaks. they took to twitter to share that they have removed case information from the outbreak tab on their dashboard, “as case counts are no longer accurate due to the changes in testing.” The outbreak at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, which was declare April 4th, remains active.
As of this afternoon, 92.8% of individuals 5 and over in KFL&A have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 89.2% have received their second. 68.8% of those 18 and over have received a three doses.
