Multiple fire crews were on the scene of a fire that took place at the Mohawk Airfield in Tyendinega Mohawk Territory. According to a Facebook post from First Nations Technical Institute, the hanger became fully engulfed on the evening of Thursday February 24th. All staff and students were evacuated and no injuries were reported at the scene and students living on premises have also been evacuated offsite. Students residence, Aviation simulator and the Indigenous Learning Center were not affected. Further details will be provided when they come available.
