Since their last report on Monday, January 3, the KFL&A region has seen two new deaths due to COVID-19. There are now 20 local cases in hospital, with 11 in the ICU and eight on ventilators.
Public Health reported 144 new high risk cases of COVID-19 since their last report, bringing the number of high risk cases to 738.
There are currently 10 active outbreaks in the region, with 76 active cases associated with them.
As of this afternoon, 90.8% of individuals 5 and over in KFL&A have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 83.7% have received their second. 59.2% of those 18 and over have received a three doses.
