Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Greater Napanee and the surrounding area today. Weather officials say heavy rain and strong winds are expected through today and into Saturday night. Rainfall amounts are expected to be around 20 to 40 mm with strong wind gusts expected between 90 and 110 km/h. Local outages may be possible along with possible flooding in many areas. Travel may also be affected and you’re encouraged to drive according to the conditions.
