A tractor trailer driver is facing charges after a traffic stop in Greater Napanee.
Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report that a Tractor Trailer was travelling in an erratic manner on Highway 401.
Police initiated a traffic stop after the vehicle narrowly missed colliding with an overpass bridge.
Officers determined that the driver was showing signs of impairment and arrested the 39-year-old of Vaudreuil- Dorion QC.
The accused has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drug, Failure or refusal to comply with demand; and Two counts of fail to comply with a release order.
The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
