A traffic complaint ended in impairment charges for a driver from Cornwall.
Lennox and Addington County OPP responded to the report on Highway 401 in Greater Napanee.
Police initiated a traffic stop near the Greater Napanee exit on Highway 401 and determined that the driver was showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for processing.
The 30-year-old was arrested and charged with Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drug and Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on November 9. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
