It was a perfect day to host the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation’s 24th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament at the Napanee Golf and Country Club yesterday, August 4, 2021.
Over $37,000 was raised for the foundation, which will go towards the purchase of a “Home Cardiac Event Monitor” for the hospital.
It was also an exciting day for Mike McGrath of Napanee who got a hole in one on the second hole to win himself a brand new GMC Terrain SLE All Wheel Drive from Peter Boyer Chev Buick GMC using an eight-iron.
myFM spoke with McGrath about what it felt like to win.
McGrath says the first person he called was his girlfriend, to let her know she doesn’t have to buy a new car.
