Lennox & Addington County OPP and OPP Crime Unit have laid charges after an investigation relating to the luring of a child over the internet.
OPP was notified an individual was communicating with a young person via social media over a period of time. Following a short investigation, police have arrested and charged 38 year old Brian Hinch of Kingston with Distribution Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, Sending Sexually Explicit Material to a person under 16 years of age, Luring a person under 16 years of age and Extortion.
The accused is held pending a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee.
Police believe there may be other victims and the investigation is ongoing.
