Two Quebec teens have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in downtown Kingston.
Police say the accused were picked up minutes after two people entered a Division Street convenience store and robbed the teller. The employee was threatened by one of the robbers with a machete while the other held a pistol to the cashiers head.
The cash register was physically removed from the store by the robbers – who left in a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was stopped a short time later in the area of Montreal Street and Hickson Avenue.
Two teens are arrested and taken to police headquarters. During the drive there one of the accused caused serious damage to the interior of a patrol car. One of the suspects also caused damage to police cells.
