Two Kingston residents are facing multiple charges following a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 on Greater Napanee.
Last Friday evening Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision the westbound 401 off-ramp at County Road 41. An investigation indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and came to rest in a field.
One of the three occupants of the vehicle left the scene and was located a short time later by police at a nearby service centre. The remaining two occupants were transported to Hospital by EMS where they were released without injury.
Officers seized from both the vehicle and some of the occupants suspected Fentanyl, suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, a prohibited weapon and drug paraphernalia.
A 44-year-old of Kingston has been charged with Four counts of Fail to comply with release order, and Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking.
A 28-year-old of Kingston has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking.
The 44-year-old was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on June 21, 2021.
The 28-year-old was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on August 10, 2021.
The third occupant of the vehicle was initially arrested as well but was subsequently released unconditionally.
