Over the last year, more than 60 infrastructure projects in eastern Ontario have benefitted from the province’s Infrastructure Ontario’s Loan Program.
In eastern Ontario, almost $300 million dollars has been committed to more than 60 projects including a water and waste water plant expansion in Quinte West.
Four housing projects under the Kingston and Frontenac Housing Corporation have proceeded thanks to almost $8 million in provincial loans.
$184 million in loans for long-term care projects is creating hundreds of new beds – including at the Golden Plough long-term care home in Northumberland County.
The loan program has been assisting municipalities and not-for-profit housing and long-term care providers during the pandemic.
