There are currently 33 active COVID-19 cases in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. Three new cases were confirmed today. 1 case was a traveller that returned from Europe, another was a positive case with ties to the Greater Toronto area and the other case was tied to Georgia Nail’s in Amherstview. It is for that reason, Dr. Kieran Moore, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health has issued new self-isolation requirements for all clients of Georgia Nail in Amherstview. All clients who have sought services at this salon from June 12 to June 25 are required to get tested and to self-isolate for 14 days after last exposure regardless of test results. All clients are asked to continue to monitor for symptoms and if they develop symptoms to get re-tested. Dr. Moore did report that one of the active cases has now been hospitalized in ICU. In the past 6 days, 4796 tests have been completed and 746 were completed yesterday.
