Kingston police say a 37-year-old woman has died in hospital of an injury received in a case of domestic violence earlier this month. Police say they were notified on June 8th that Cara Cochrane was in hospital in critical condition and were informed on Sunday that she had died. They say a 35-year-old, Brady James Maher was earlier charged with offences including aggravated assault in that incident as well as two prior domestic violence incidents between 2018 and this year.
Police say they are now investigating the case as a homicide and additional or upgraded charges are expected.
