Lennox and Addington County OPP continue to see motorists driving dangerously on the 401.
Yesterday at approximately 8:00 p.m. officers of the L&A County OPP observed a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 401 at a high rate of speed.
Police stopped the vehicle near the Greater Napanee exit. As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged a 27 year old man fron Kingston, with:
-Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
-Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit; and
-Possession of a Schedule III substance (Mushrooms) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
-Driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor,
-Driving a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available,
-Driving a motor vehicle without a licence;
-Stunt Driving.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Napanee Court in June. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for a week.
