The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, in conjunction with Public Health agencies, are actively monitoring for outbreak and spread of COVID-19 in this community.
Dr. Kim Morrison, Chief of staff at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital says there are no cases of COVID-19 in this area.
Dr. Morrison says they are taking various precautions at the hospital.
She says if someone is feeling ill, there are a few things to do prior to heading to the hospital.
Dr. Morrison says things are constantly changing and they will continue to keep the community up to date.
Dr. Morrison says a lot of these precautions need to happen to protect people.
Dr. Morrison says some temporary closures are in place.
Dr. Morrison stresses that in these situations information changes rapidly. She asks that people in the community help stop the spread of misinformation by referring to credible sources, KFLA Public Health, Public Health Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Health.
