Road closures on the bay of Quinte Skyway Bridge are planned for this March along with construction. Temporary single lane closures will start March 2nd from thirty minutes after sunrise, until thirty minutes after sunset. The first part of construction will continue until March 18th, automated flaggers will control traffic during this phase. Weather conditions could affect any construction deadlines or further delay the project. Starting on March 19th, only a single lane on Skyway Bridge will be open to drivers. Full lane closures could happen overnight for safety reasons, these will be announced at least two weeks in advance. Drivers will then be directed by temporary traffic signals until construction is finished. Late December is when the project is expected to be finished.
