Hastings Lennox and Addington Member of Parliament Derek Sloan is filing his papers to be the next leader of Canada’s Conservatives.
The 35-year old lawyer was elected to Canada’s Official Opposition on October 21st, and is the Deputy Justice and Attorney General Critic. Sloan explains why he is running.
He adds that social issues also need to be discussed. “Those include affordable housing and poverty. We also need to be tough on the international stage. Being Conservative in every traditional sense, including those that many candidates do not have a plan for.”
